WMATA for short, is a mass transit system that serves Washington, D.C. and parts of Southern Maryland and Northern Virginia. It was found in the year 1967 and is still up and strong today. It is the 2nd busiest rapid transit system in America and consists of 1,480 buses, and 952 railcars. It serves everywhere in Washington, D.C.. WMATA also serves, Prince George's County and Montgomery County in Maryland and Fairfax County, Alexandria City, and Arlington County in Virginia.
